The Roaring Slug Vol. 1

The Roaring Slug is a monthly anthology of short stories written by authors in the Humboldt County region of Northern California. Each volume will feature stories inspired by a central prompt which changes from one issue to the next.

This month, the prompt is “returning home.”



Though they all cater to a shared theme, the stories included in this anthology vary drastically in plot, genre, style, length, and tone, ensuring that you’ll never read the same story twice.
