The Rock City Raptor

I am a 68 years old man Father of 4 Grandfather of 6. In early 1960s I saw John
F. Kennedy speak at my High School in Pocatello, Idaho. I have had a fascination
with the surrounding of his murder and read everything I could find on the
subject. I asked myself the question what if the official version was wrong.
Thirty some odd years ago I began to write my own fictional interpretation of
the events. With the encouragement of family members especially my wife I
was persuaded to finish it and continue writing stories. I hope you will enjoy
my second book as much as I enjoyed writing it.



The year is 1956; the scene is an unnamed National Forest in the heart of Montana. Something mysterious lurks in the woods. Is it real or imagined I leave that up to you, the reader to decide. In the meantime, a series of grizzly campground murders takes place. The evidence suggests that it is the work of a dinosaur gone extinct 65 million years ago. Of course that is impossible or is it? Local law enforcement is baffled. Two vacationing friends offer their assistance. They are special FBI Agent Ben Murdock, and super sloth Homicide Inspector Jonathan Slackhammer of the L.A.P.D. assisted by his wife Kitty a gifted investigator in her own right. Kitty is a woman ahead of her time, strong and independent, she plays the part of the submissive wife in public, but in private she dominates Johnny sexually and demands to be treated as an equal.



Along the path you will meet many characters, some are significant to the story and some are not. I do not suggest that you try to remember them all. They come and go as people in our lives often do. I also introduce to you, an animal character which will play a significant role later in the story. This is an experiment on my part, but I think you will find it interesting. Pack your bags then and let me take you on a camping trip that hopefully you will never forget. Be it real or imagined prepare to meet the Rock City Raptor.
