ABSTRACT Minimal knowledge exists in regard to how IT is integrated into small entrepreneurial ventures to increase their customer focus. This article maintains that the IT resource management activities implemented by small firms influenced their abilities to build customer relationships. The importance of developing a customer-focused IT platform is a basic assumption in this study. As such, the IT maturity was examined in small, entrepreneurial firms in order to assess their abilities to retain, respond, and satisfy customers.
