One of the best card books ever
The Royal Road To Card Magic may be old, but it's full of insight, basic useful card sleights and really good tricks. This is a beginner book on sleight of hand with cards that if mastered makes you a step ahead of many magicians. Despite being an intro book, some of the greatest card tricks ever put in print can be found in this book. The Card College volumes 1 & 2 may contain more details on the techniques shown in this book, but the tricks in Royal Road generally pack more of a punch. You also get a lot more tricks in this book. Plus, it's dirt cheap and you'll find yourself going back to this book for tricks long after you've moved on to more advance books and material.
