When Tracey Adams decides she can't take any more of NYC life, her friends Margot and Caitlyn agree: it's time to settle down and get out of the city. With visions of white picket fences dancing in their heads, they form a joke association -- The Settle Down Society -- and start dating with marriage in mind.
Tracey thinks she's struck gold, but it doesn't take long for her new fiance to show his true colors. Meanwhile, she keeps running into Mason, an NYPD detective who doesn't always see her at her best. But when the crusty cop shows her his heart of gold, what's a girl supposed to do?
With forced proximity and enemies to lovers tropes, plus the unstoppable background of New York City in every season, The Settle Down Summer is a classic rom-com you'll love!

The Settle Down Summer
In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, Tracy and her friends make a pact to settle down in a permanent relationship; possibly in an attempt to return to a permanent sense of security and normalcy after a long period of upheaval in New York.
Tracy meets two men, both of whom could be Mr. wrong or Mr. right for her. While trying to meet someone and establish a stable relationship, Tracy also tries to come to terms with living in New York and feeling at home in a city that seems less safe after the pandemic.
In the midst of trying to find "the one" and regain her footing in the city that used to feel like home, Tracy fights against her anxiety as she embarks on a journey of self discovery to find out where she belongs in the world.
I received an ARC copy of the book to read, but received no compensation and in no way did that affect my review.
