She’s hardly in the mood for love, but when a dreamy man named Iwan mysteriously shows up in her new home, she starts to reconsider. There’s one problem, though: Iwan exists seven years in the past, and his life only crosses over with Clementine’s in that apartment. Ashley Poston’s inventive novel takes the idea of time travel out of its usual science fiction setting, resulting in a breezy romance that’s only a little bit mind-bending. What follows is an easily flowing and often unpredictable romance. The magical element adds a cool twist on the gradually building central relationship and Poston's depictions of grief ring especially true and are sure to tug at readers' heartstrings. This is an emotional delight.
