The Shape of Fire

Matron Candesh hires Cady to free her ex-handfasted, Doe Lineman, who has been arrested for starting the flash fires plaguing Vantage's Low Town and now creeping toward the Legend Community. Even though town officials maintain the fires have all been natural.
At first it seems an easy case—even if not his forte. When there is another flash fire that night, Cady assumes the guards will let Lineman go. 
No. The afternoon before, Doe Lineman confessed just to get himself a crock of ale.
Now it will take  finding the real fire starter to solve the case.
But in tracking down the fire starter, Cady discovers the fires are only the most apparent part of the crime.
