“The soldier’s wedding“ by karina Bliss
Wow. The author has a remarkable and gifted way of showing Nan’s dementia through Nan’s actions and words. It’s more powerful and has a bigger impact than simply saying that she has dementia, is forgetful and gets confused. I was also incredibly impressed with how respectfully Nan was treated and guided by Jo, Polly, Dan and the staff at the home. They are true heroes. The whole story was beautiful, sad and heartwarming.
