The StarKeys

Long ago Life Essence along with her sisters -- Earth, Fire, Wind and Water -- lived amongst the mortal and magical. Her power grew from the positive feelings she brought to each and every creature. But as time passed, the mortals and the magical became greedy, not wanting to share. The demands were taking a toll, and soon the sisters felt their powers weakening.


It was a sad day when Life Essence decided she must separate the mortals and magical. She created the Veil of Sanctuary, a wondrous place that served to keep those two worlds apart. She and her sisters lived inside the Veil where life was pure and vibrant.


The Regent was chosen by her to rule the Veil. He was gifted the powers of love, strength and healing. Even in the Veil, Life Essence couldn't prevent the powers of evil that seeped inside, threatening the life of the Regent's daughter, Flora.


It was decided that Flora would need to hide on the mortal side and the Regent would follow her. But with that choice he had to sacrifice his gifts. They were placed in three separate StarKeys and assigned to a family. Modie, an 11 year old, teddy bear-like boy who had yet to lose his fur, wore the StarKey that healed while his parents the others.


Life Essence sent the Regent to her favorite place-- back to Noryham Village where she and her sisters once lived. She gave strict instructions to the Regent. He was to find and teach a mortal to have absolute faith in the Elements. That mortal was destined to be the Elita. The Chosen Peacemaker who would be their salvation.


The Regent became a mortal man with a magical secret and wrote his story in a book while watching over Flora.


Eleven Years Later...


Maddie's imagination has a way of getting her into trouble!


Her belief in Modie- her favorite character in her Birthday Eve Story- has made her the target of teasing and practical jokes at school. The people of Noryham Village dread her birthday because something odd always seems to happen.


This year is Maddie's 10th birthday. The year her father will read the entire Modie story from his journal, and everything's about to change.


When Maddie's birthday wish is granted- an hour in the Veil of Sanctuary with Modie- she finds herself in a vibrant paradise that's more wondrous than even she imagined but the Veil and all its inhabitants are in danger!


As the two unite they find themselves on a perilous adventure to find the StarKey needed to defeat the Fallen, an evil presence that won't stop until all is destroyed.


Modie and Maddie enter into a mystical world of magical playroom doors and powerful StarKeys where they learn their destinies are intertwined. Secrets are revealed and choices are made that will determine the future of both the mortal and magical worlds.
