Publisher Description
This is the next 45-page report from the team behind the SOFREP website.
Written by the team of Special Operations veterans at SOFREP, THE SYRIA REPORT is a behind-the-scenes look at the roots of the drama and unrest that is unfolding in Syria. Based on information from sources within the intelligence community, using historical case studies and on-the-ground assets, author Kerry Patton reveals the secret history of U.S. involvement in the Middle East: from the United States' former alliance with Iran post-WWII, to clandestine operations involving Saudi princes, to the intricacies of the Iran-Contra Affair, to the overthrow of Qaddafi in Libya—this is a fascinating, never-before-told insider account.
Customer Reviews
Refreshing dose of real.
Distilled down to the finer points of both historical and modern perspective, this is the kind of journalism and reporting, that we should all be clamouring for.
There is no historical amnesia in evidence here, as the author takes the factual history, and clearly lays out the links between a "fiduciary responsibility first" foreign policy, and today's seemingly unfathomable middle eastern chaos.
