The Unseen Bridgegroom

It is a romance book. Though this romance is as convoluted as most of Fleming's works, the unlikeable characters make it tiresome. The 17-year-old heroine of mysterious origins, Mary Dane, is a cruel flirt with a dramatic bent. On the eve of her wedding to a much older, wealthy man, she's kidnapped and forced to wed one of her jilted suitors. The man wears a disguise, hence 'The Unseen Bridegroom'.
