Grace Aguilar (2 June 1816 – 16 September 1847) was an English writer on Jewish history and religion, poet, and author of sentimental novels. Although she had been writing since childhood, much of her work was published posthumously. Having lived through the age of 19 measles, she began to think seriously about a career writer, even though her physical health never completely recovered. Her debut was an anonymous collection of poems, The Magic Wreath of Hidden Flowers. During his life, he wrote many works that remain popular today.
"The Vale of Cedars" is are great sentimental novel by Grace Aguilar. Book tells story about being in Spain in 1479, Julien and his daughter, Marie, take refuge there. A knight seeing into the vale and Marie falls in love with him during his furtive visits. But Julien has promised his daughter to his nephew: the young King of Sicily, Ferdinand. Her future life is blighted by the dark powerful forces, that holders of her closely guarded secret, moving in on her once she has left the vale.
