# 1 New York Times Bestseller
The inspiration for season two of BRIDGERTON, a series created by Shondaland for Netflix, from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia Quinn: the story of Anthony Bridgerton in the second of her beloved Regency-set novels featuring the charming, powerful Bridgerton family.
This time the gossip columnists have it wrong. London’s most elusive bachelor Anthony Bridgerton hasn’t just decided to marry—he’s even chosen a wife! The only obstacle is his intended’s older sister, Kate Sheffield—the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom. The spirited schemer is driving Anthony mad with her determination to stop the betrothal, but when he closes his eyes at night, Kate’s the woman haunting his increasingly erotic dreams...
Contrary to popular belief, Kate is quite sure that reformed rakes do not make the best husbands—and Anthony Bridgerton is the most wicked rogue of them all. Kate’s determined to protect her sister—but she fears her own heart is vulnerable. And when Anthony’s lips touch hers, she’s suddenly afraid she might not be able to resist the reprehensible rake herself...
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
This Regency romance, the second book in the hit Bridgerton series, is a seductive, witty blend of fiery contempt and searing sexual tension. The infamous playboy Anthony Bridgerton has supposedly reformed himself—his engagement to young Edwina Sheffield is the talk of the town. But Edwina’s sister Kate doesn’t buy the blindingly handsome bachelor’s transformation, engaging Anthony in a delicious battle of words. We loved every second of Shonda Rhimes’ Bridgerton screen adaptation—and this rapturous, transportive read is equally entertaining. Julia Quinn’s irresistible tale mixes an aristocratic air and a knack for juicy drama. Prepare to laugh, swoon, and (ahem) blush.
I’m excited to see how it would turn out in the show 👀
i loved this story, it was amazingly executed with equal parts angst and love. i really wonder how Netflix will express this in their show but i’m looking forward to it nonetheless. i’m already on book 4 and i can’t seem to put any of them down T^T my wallet is crying tears of pain but i’m not complaining :)
The viscount who loved me
I’ve read the first 3 books of the Bridgerton series and I love everything about them. They’re very well written, love their stories and the drama in it and most of all… love that there’s always a happy ending and beyond stories for the characters. I love knowing that, even after struggle, the characters will live happily ever after. These books have been incredibly entertaining and they’re a great escape from reality, to a time where things were very different from today. It’s hard to put them down once you get reading.
Super romantic ❤️❤️❤️Loved it!!!
