Many months before the end of World War II, The Third Reich was doomed. The shooting war was over in May 1945, but for hardcore Nazis, the war was far from over.

In September 1944, 10-year-old George Ames saw a German U-Boat surface off the coast of Long Island, New York.  As far as he knew, he was the only witness to the event.  Over time he almost convinced himself that it must have been a figment of his imagination.  In 1944, Germany was losing the War.  The Third Reich was doomed, but not all Nazis accepted this.  Gold was quietly being syphoned away from Germany.  Ten years later, a chance meeting provides George with the opportunity to cross paths with one of the men who surfaced in the German U-Boat, proving that what he saw years ago wan't just a figment of his imagination.
