     Penny Alexander wakes one morning to good news, and a new headache. Her editor has given her a potentially career-changing assignment, one that almost makes the early-morning interruption palatable. She'll be photographing tech magnate, Oscar Duncan, who's shaking up the world with his inventions and who has become something of an idol to her twin sister, Callie. But Penny's estranged father shows up with cryptic news about the twins' comatose mother, further straining their already tenuous financial situation, and urging Penny to begin training for a battle she cannot comprehend.
