Jake Thorne has made a name for himself by interviewing people with impossible beliefs.

A skeptic with a loyal audience, he knows how to separate grief from delusion, performance from truth. Then he receives an email from a stranger who claims to be "an Archon in the flesh" — a being once part of the hidden architecture behind death, memory, and the reincarnation wheel.
