As she walks us through her experiences with superstardom, her relationships with Justin Timberlake (who does not come off well) and dancer Kevin Federline, and her eventual imprisonment in a 13-year conservatorship by her father, it’s her family’s continual gaslighting and abuse that remain heartbreakingly constant, even beyond the shocking restraints of the conservatorship itself. I’ve been a Britney Spears fan since I was super young (I’m talking age 3) & now after learning so much what she went through, I’m forever Team Britney!
Insightful read
Really well written, an easy read and an in-depth look at the dark side of being a pop icon in the 90s and early 2000s. So much respect for the strength of this woman to persevere and take back her life.
Loved it.
I have more respect and love for Brittany since reading the book. You go beautiful and live your life to the fullest.
