NU'EST, a new generation Korean pop star, enjoying huge popularity with 2million Likes on Facebook all over the world, made their debut in the film. Directing is by Rikiya Imaizumi, well recognized for his excellence in romantic comedy dramas; winning him the Best Director Award at Transylvania Film Festival with “I Catch a Terrible Cat” (2011). In Their Distance, Imaizumi brings us his latest unconventional romance, an ensemble piece about the intersecting and diverging emotions of a group of seven men and women.


Shoe repairman Leon meets feisty drunk Suna, and can't stop thinking about her. Kokaze, Leon's workmate, is secretly attracted to him. A customer, Sang-soo, falls for Kokaze at first sight. He studies Japanese with Suna's boyfriend, Ji-woo, who likes their teacher Kanako, but she lives with the wheelchair-bound Arakawa. The accident that left him disabled was witnessed by Leon.


As their emotions become entangled, their lives begin to tumble in unexpected directions.
