Publisher Description

Everyone has been affected by the demons of addiction in either their own personal lives or through their friends' or family's experiences. Addiction is a condition that, from an outsider's perspective, does not appear to make any sense and leads the addict down a frightening and predictable path. This illustrated fable is told through the eyes of the addict who has lost their battle with addiction and reminds those left behind that their loved one is in a better place. It tries to explain the allure of the addiction and the frightening turn and deathly grip it all of a sudden takes on. At this point, the addict has little chance to overcome the power of the addiction. It is heart breaking to watch a loved one disappear further into their addiction even though you know they want to stop and reclaim their life again. As devastating as it is to lose a loved one to an addiction, it is important to remember that they are in a better place where their demons and addictions can no longer trap their souls.
