What happens to the future history of the human race when it is forced to leave Earth? When the population exceeds that which Mother Nature can sustain, humans are forced to seek a new home in order to survive.

This story is about the challenges and problems and the sociology of colonizing a new planet. The story covers many centuries and is not about a central hero who solves all problems. It is a story about the stamina and tenacity and ingenuity of people who seek survival.
