This New York

On January 1, 2014: I set out on a 5-year journey. i wanted to travel around, meet and sometimes stay with people, see new places, have new experiences, and capture those experiences with my camera, write about it, and share it all with other as I went along. This journey began in New York state.



When I was growing up anytime that someone would mention New York, I would always think about New York City. I don't think that it was because I didn't realize there was a whole state that surrounded the city. I just wasn't sure there was much to it all. I was mistaken. There is so much more to it all than just a state that surrounds New York City. It's beautiful!



I'm thankful that I was given the opportunity to experience New York state not just as a part of my journey, but as the first part of my journey. I can't think of anywhere that I would have rather started my 5-year journey than with experiencing some of New York state.



From January 1-January 23, 2014; I stayed in 4 different host homes in 3 different cities/towns in New York- Hunt, Buffalo, & Frewsburg. In 'This New York' I share photos and thoughts about the photos and experiences from my time spent in New York starting out 5-Year Journey.
