Time Lost

Ripley learns being an alcoholic has its benefits, which he realizes during a trip into a lost world. After a deluge flooding Los Angeles, he ends up in the desert stranded without help. Coming from a dysfunctional life, he escapes to a realm that resembles, in his mind, Hades. While searching for a way out of his dilemma, he stumbles onto a paradise that changes everything. Inside the oasis, he becomes a chum to an unforgettable character he calls Painless Paul.

After twenty years, a family stumbles upon his hideaway and offers a way back to civilization. Curious about the world he left, he returns to find a new reality. He contemplates staying. Is it what he likes? Or living with Painless Paul a better life?
