A captivating, concise, & informative tale!
A great retelling of the Titanic’s story. There’s detailed descriptions of what the ship looked like, and the discrepancies between first, second, and third class. The book also explains the sinking of the ship, the rescue efforts, and the regulations that were passed as a result of the maritime disaster. What I found particularly intriguing was the book’s explanation of why the ship sinking became so famous — it definitely wasn’t the first ship to sink, the first with as many casualties nor was it ever declared unsinkable, but it did mark the end of a golden era of innovation as it broke public confidence in human innovation. Also I love Hourly History books since they truly do take an hour or less to read!!
