Jack and Eve McDonald looked forward to retirement in a small North Georgia town where Jack served as a Methodist minister.  On a Tuesday morning in mid-August, that dream changes with the discovery of the body of Anna Newberry and the arrest of one of their children’s best friend for murder.  This is only the beginning as the body count rises.  Life in the idyllic community of Pitch Tree will never be the same as hidden evil is uncovered and confronted.
