To Save a Thorn

'Why escape death by demon just to die at the hands of heroes?'

Taitu Jathaeri, a sixteen-year-old girl with arcane gifts, is eager to leave Ilja Island, the heart of matriarchal Thorn society. But her wish comes true in the worst way…

When her guardian, a recluse witch, is killed, Taitu is sent to the dreaded mainland to find a mage in the ruins of Old Anvadore and deliver a cryptic artefact Arjanna hid for twenty years.

But Arjanna had many more secrets. The young Thorn must learn who to trust in this race for survival.

Do the killers pursuing her mean harm or salvation? Did she choose the wrong side in a war that may release an ancient corrupting evil into the world of Itania?
