Feels like a book for kids

The idea is very interesting but other than that, very disapointing. If you like books where ALL the adults are idiots (and not idiots as in teenagers think that all adults are idiots, I mean literal idiots) then I guess you might like this book. Everytime the 13 year old protagonist “showed” the scientists how stupid they were by explaining the obvious to them I rolled my eyes and by the end I had a headache from all the eye rolling (the part where the 13 year old prevents an international conflict by showing the adults how stupid they are is a real gem). I saw that the author is a very popular fantasy author so maybe this is a miss because it’s a different genre?

Intriguing concept. Horrible execution

Nothing is worse in a sci fi story than a good concept gone bad. This is especially horrid. Implausible does not begin to describe the situation depictions, dialogue or overall character development. It could be good, but ends up reading like an after school kIds special. I wasted my money.
