APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Science fiction fans will relish this fresh new take on the classic aliens-making-contact story in Morgan Rice’s Transmission. The first instalment in The Invasion Chronicles introduces us to 13-year-old Kevin, who believes the visions attributed to his recently-diagnosed brain disease are actually signals from an alien species. Kevin’s race to be believed is on, taking us on a thrilling ride to NASA headquarters, the Colombian jungle and beyond. Rice balances intricate character development with heart-racing adventure, hooking you into the series.

Interesting and easy read
Easy read. Kept me going to the end. Couple plot twists. I’m looking into getting the second book in the series.
Juvenile
Kids fantasy
Feels like a book for kids
The idea is very interesting but other than that, very disapointing. If you like books where ALL the adults are idiots (and not idiots as in teenagers think that all adults are idiots, I mean literal idiots) then I guess you might like this book. Everytime the 13 year old protagonist “showed” the scientists how stupid they were by explaining the obvious to them I rolled my eyes and by the end I had a headache from all the eye rolling (the part where the 13 year old prevents an international conflict by showing the adults how stupid they are is a real gem). I saw that the author is a very popular fantasy author so maybe this is a miss because it’s a different genre?
