Companionship, humour and a sense of adventure make even the most daunting experiences thrilling. Come along, but pack lightly as these intrepid ladies demonstrate the ins and outs of travel through France and Italy, clearing hurdles and making memories along the way.
As a travel guide this book is instructive. As a snapshot of friendship, misadventure and delight it is unselfconscious and bang-on. I loved it.
