12 years a slave

Very thought provoking book. Amazing what the human spirit can live through.

An incredible story...

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, read this book first!
This is an incredible, first-hand account of the brutality of slavery, and it’s a shame that this book remained largely obscure before the movie came out. It’s not an easy or comfortable read, but it will make you think.
