Let's face it—the Bible contains passages that are challenging to interpret and can even incite fear. Sure, we want to believe God's grace applies to our unique troubles: addiction, divorce, habitual sins, or a feeling of distance from God because we don't measure up. Still, perplexing Bible passages eat at us.

Bestselling author and radio host Dr. Andrew Farley is known to blitzkrieg legalistic and lifeless interpretations with his discerning take on controversial Scriptures. In Twisted Scripture, Andrew skewers sacred cows and shatters destructive lies, bringing the undiluted truth about God's love and grace in a colorful and conversational look at the most controversial passages in the New Testament.

This book offers more than just encouragement and freedom. It may change everything about the way you see yourself and God.

From the stand point of this author, water baptism is not essential to come to Christ.

I don’t think the author of this book is Christian. He picked and choose two texts of the Bible to dismantle one of the Requirements necessary for salvation.

This author is so obsessed against water baptism that he didn’t even realize even though Acts 10 mentioned that people received the Holy Spirit before they were baptized but the author is so blind that the still baptized in water.

When it comes to the thief on the cross. He Could not, with is free will get into the water baptismal pool, in that case, it was impossible to obey to the command found in mark 16:16.

By the thief statement of faith Jesus promised him that when he resurrected he will take him to heaven. Christ didn’t go to heaven that same day, so the thief had to wait for Christ resurrection and ascension to heaven.
