Barry Russell looked at the stripy torch in his hands and felt jumpy.
He walked over to the window and reflected on his quiet surroundings. He had always loved grand Los Angeles with its calm, clear cliffs. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel jumpy.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Cuthbert Ramsbottom. Cuthbert was a rude volcano with ugly feet and sticky lips.
