Two Lions on His Shoulders

This book takes place in West Africa, roughly in the area now the country of Mali. The time is roughly 1100 CE. Two Lions on His Shoulders is the honorific title given to the hero of this book due to his super-human efforts to free a village of two killer lionesses. Based loosely on true events, the story necessarily starts with the story of his mother, as any book about a hero should. Due to evil machinations of one of her husband's other wives, the hero and his mother are forced to flee his father's kingdom. Two Lions grows up to become a famous hunter. When his mother is murdered by his half-brother, it becomes Two Lions' duty to seek revenge. Learn not only how he gained the large kingdom that should have been his by birth, but how he went on to even greater heights of power and glory.
