Two plays for dancers

A Nobel Prize winning Irish dramatist and author, one of the founders of the Irish Literary Revival, William Butler Yeats is considered one of the twentieth century's key English language poets. 

The play “Two plays for dancers” was performed in 1918. The action is centred on the medium of dance. The dance is an instrument for depicting experiences which evoked as he put it “intimacies, ecstasies and anguish of the soul-life.”. Yeats wanted to create an almost magical mystical experience which put the audience in a trance through poetry without words.
