Two Souls, One Door

How do you leave a room when the only door disappears and reappears at random, and moves away from you when you approach? How do you leave an endless void of darkness and silence? And when the only rule that governs the room is only one person may pass through the door, how do you explain that to the only other person in the room with you?

Bilbee didn’t remember much. And what he did remember was slipping away. Besides remembering he has a wife and daughter, the only thing he knew for sure was that he was dead with no knowledge of how he arrived in the endless room. With his waiting companion, Joe, they wait for the door and contemplate the mystery about what was behind the door, and who will walk through it.
