Unexpected Magic is the fifth book of The Merged Worlds.
Pepper Paull, the good witch, and her small coven of three are weary from dealing with those they rescued from magical captivity, though they have yet to break all the magical containments. Carol Grayson, the wolf-witch, and Amelia Rutledge, lawyer, coven sisters, agree that a little vacation is just what they need.
They don't count on Zymnos, dragon-in-disguise, showing up with an alternate destination and traveling plans. He asks the coven to pick up a package he had set aside a thousand year ago.
