There is no other word that aptly describes the thirty-five-year-old award-winning entrepreneur – Viven Naicker. Starting his own business while a teenager, Naicker went on to own multiple businesses in the financial and medical spheres. A former financial advisor, Naicker was one of the youngest Principal Franchisees in the country when he was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. His diagnosis made him the youngest documented case in the world at the time.

Despite a seven-day death sentence, Naicker refused to give up on life, although doctors had all but given up on him. He wanted to fight and found doctors who would fight with him. His body was butchered after an estimated fifty surgeries that saw him lose major organs and leave him a shadow of his former self. His tenacious spirit and faith in God pushed him to victory and today he is a resplendent voice for cancer patients the world over. He is passionate about changing the lives of those who are struggling with disability and terminal illness.

The Viven Naicker Foundation strives to raise funds for education, disability assistive devices and cancer affected families. He is also a sought after motivational speaker and writer who enjoys a large following on social media. Naicker lives with his mum in Durban and is excited about the many possibilities the future holds for him.
