Uplands Armageddon

Second in the series. A band of survivalist has set up operations in the driftless area of Wisconsin. The Gileads are in need of an infusion of funds, a condition that moves the founder and his bumbling hinchmen to kidnap the banker's wife for ransom. Meanwhile, deputy Matt Swedberg patrols this section of the county unaware of the Gileads' nefarious goings-on. His boss Sheriff Lloyd Ungrodt, is focused on the next election. Ungrodt learns of the Gileads' encampment at the regular Tuesday meeting of the Uplands Lions Club and orders Swedberg to investigate. Ransom is a tricky business as the Gilead finds out.
