VENOANS

Venoans is a collection of stories interwoven by members of a community in Venoa Beach. From high school teenagers and grifters to mayors and policemen, Venoans live by a code only they truly understand—one of death and big risks. We follow characters like The Bass Boys, a group of teenage guys who, after standing up to another gang, learn not to fear the consequences; The Makeup Misses, a circle of girlfriends who scheme clothing accessories and lingerie at the mall and use their feminine wiles to their advantage; The Mowing Man, a neighborhood staple who roams without a house of his own and wallows in the memories of a deeply disturbed past; Precious the local fortune teller who gives a fateful prediction that comes true at a teenage girl’s yacht party; and a quest to find the allusive Crazy Cupid Machine believed to be worth millions yet in the hands of The Mowing Man.
