After a Vietnam War protest, Karen joins the Baltimore USO
to support the troops. On a trip to Paris, she meets Omar who changes her life. They visit his family in Beirut and are caught up in the horrors of war. They return to Paris and marry before moving to America. Through faith and determination, Karen brings Omars family to America to start a new life.



When her marriage becomes violent and abusive, she leaves to
escape the violence giving her the chance to rebuild her life. Karens love for her son keeps her focused on being strong and positive about the future. She eventually meets Mark and remarries starting a new family.
