Publisher Description

This chapter will explore my journey of making and responding within a practical workshop and how I've used this practice towards my final painting inspired by my chosen artist, I found and chose during my trip to The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). In this chapter you will explore my progression in art work and creations within a weekly workshop, as well as my own personal practical development to contribute to my final piece. This chapter will explore four lessons for a class of grade three and four students. The subject of all four lessons will be Art and two lessons will have a media focus with one lesson focussing on responding and another focussing on making. The other two lessons will have a Visual Arts focus with one lesson focussing on responding and the other focussing on making. (All content descriptors have been taken from the Media Arts and Visual Arts sections of the Victorian Curriculum.)
