Walls for Jerusalem

This is the story of Azareel and Janir, which happens in a very peculiar time of the history of the Jews.



After seventy years of captivity in Babylon, the Jewish people were summoned by Cyrus “The Great,” King of Persia, to return to their homeland, Jerusalem, in Judah. In this story, the author seeks to illustrate the obstacles found on their return and undertaking. To re-educate and redirect the Jewish people back to their ways, with the covenants and ordinances of the Temple, was not an easy task.



It is in this scenario, the love between Azareel and Janir is born: a powerful feeling facing the great conflicts between the desires of their hearts and the contradicting demands of their beliefs.



This is a simple story; a fiction based on historic facts, which portrays ordinary individuals living in an extraordinary period, not usually mentioned when you speak about the history of the Jews.
