Great book!
This book should be read by all women and men! Not just women of color! Everyone has a wife, sister, daughter or cousin that could get inspired by these stories. This book showcased the achievements of women in color in different disciplines whether be in STEM, sports , politics, media and yes even the food industry. What I liked about the book it not only focuses on the success but the challenges each one of them had to face in order to stand out in their field. What you find is the common thread, there is a double standard for success for women of color but they are able to go above it with dignity and respect and still thrive. Where the title of the book says :”We go high “. I think this book nailed it well about the common obstacles and what it takes to navigate this territory among the different respective fields. Highly recommend this book.
