Priscilla Baxter likes to play it safe. She follows all the rules and never wanted to do things any other way. When she let a fellow cosmetologist talk her into playing hooky for the day, she starts to realize just how much she might be missing out on.

Holden White has spent the past few weeks recovering from a knee injury and now he is finally ready to get back in the ocean. All hopes of surfing like the pro he was were dashed when he was injured and now, being healed, he wants nothing more than to have his life return to normal. But he quickly learns he should be open to the possibility of a new normal.
