Weir of Hermiston

Although unfinished as a result of Stevenson's sudden death of a brain hemorrhage in 1894, Weir of Hermiston is considered by many critics as the author's masterpiece. Set in Edinburgh, Scotland at the time of the Napoleonic Wars, the novel tells the story of a young Scottish aristocrat who is banished from his family.
