Welfare insurance

The difference here is that the book is not mere a work of fiction, but a writing on a subject which is essential for students and professionals of Social Work and other Social Science to understand. This is also a new stream in field of insurance which itself is a tool for social security. There has been a concept called “micro insurance” which is quite specific in nature and do not cover all the aspect when it comes to role of insurance for social change. “Welfare Insurance” is a concept that needs to be accepted, written more, researched more and taught in colleges now.


World is changing rapidly, problems and issues have changed, methods of handling problems have changed. Insurance is an effective tool, if it can be used for the benefit of weaker section. However; I believe there is a need to involve development professionals for implementation of Welfare Insurance schemes and programs. And the fundamental is, Social Work and other stream of Social Science needs to accept “Welfare Insurance”, and “Insurance” as subject. It has to be made part of curriculum for Social Work and Social Science colleges. It has to be made part of curriculum for training of insurance professionals as well.
