I know what it’s like to be a super busy working mom, that also has high standards for having healthy food and healthy meals for myself and my children. But I’m not a super mom! Like really, not even close. So these recipes are not fancy, they’re just easy. I need to be able to prep them in advance, and they need to be kid approved. These are not all of my recipes from scratch, but they are Dr. Andrea and Dr. Carrie’s list of favourite easy healthy recipes. So let’s lay a few ground rules for Preconception Diet and Nutrition. Getting your body ready for baby is dependent on a strong foundation of a balanced, healthy and whole-foods diet. It is so much easier to maintain good habits, than it is to start them overnight ( ie the day after the pregnancy test is positive) – Best case scenario is making changes the weeks or months leading up to pregnancy.
Smart and systematic changes can evolve a less nutritious diet, to a way of eating that is completely nourishing for both you and a growing babe.
