What Future, Slave

Born a high-class slave ensured Marda had a few protections, growing up and learning that those protections were only physical, made the lessons that much harder. Being freed took away those protections, and the learning curve was brutal. Once beyond the walls of her home, once the last of her safeties was stripped away, Marda, now the freed woman called Katerina was being pulled in many directions and no one was telling her why, and it didn’t end, not even after she found her true name.

By the time Arawyn was firmly set along the path to her destiny, even then she was being pulled in directions. Could she take that destiny? Could she protect herself and those she loved if she did? Or did she need to run once again?
