Barbara (Bobby) becomes an army nurse in 1942. She is sent to England to work in a hospital where she meets Dallas and falls in love. They plan on getting married as soon as the war is over and settling down in her hometown of Tooele, Ut. Unforeseen events tear them apart and she becomes pregnant with their child.
