Publisher Description

All of the eagles portrayed in the book flew to these specific locations for the sole purpose of bathing. The images show the behaviour of the eagles before, during, and after bathing. The photos were taken over a five-year period, with the photographer completely concealed behind blinds (hides).

These eagles are vary wary of humans when bathing and will not land to bathe if they can see someone. At the front of my blinds, all they can see is my camera lens protruding through an opening in the branches attached to the blind.

All photographs were taken on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. The exact locations are not revealed, for the protection of the eagles.

Tony Markle lives with his wife, Pamela, in Parksville on Vancouver Island. Wildlife and nature photography has been his hobby for many years. All images in this book were taken with Canon digital cameras.
