When the Owl Cries

Petaca has been hacienda of the Medina family for many generations, placed near an inactive volcano. It is faced with the Mexican Revolution of 1910. But, there is also a conflict inside the family Medina. Fernando Medina doesn’t tolerate the radical ways of his son Don Raul, who wants to pacify the peons, but is shot by a man.

Fernando has been a cruel ruler, who ruled with an iron hand, whip, and gun. Now, he is dying and it’s Raul’s turn to rule. But, Raul’s life is complicated. He is estranged from his wife, Angelina, and in love with the young blonde Lucienne, at the same time faced with the turmoil and hardships he and his family experience during the Revolution.

The Medina family suffers many disasters, due to a natural disaster and the Revolution.
