Penny Pintz's move back to Shells Harbour has been quiet and anonymous, just as she liked. Until a morning jog thrust her into a murder investigation that challenges her ability to stay hidden from gossip and rumour as she tries to honour a promise to an old friend to find the killer. With the help of the local fire department, her bookshop owner aunt Sheila, and many others in Penny's Nova Scotia hometown, she must solve the crime and find her place back home.
